We start by understanding where you’re at and where you want to get to. From there, we build a support plan around your goals not a generic checklist and check in regularly to adjust as things change, because transitions rarely go in a straight line

NDIS community participation is funding and support that helps people with a disability join in social, recreational, and civic activities. It aims to build skills, reduce isolation, and help individuals connect with their local community.
An example of NDIS assistance with social and community participation is hiring a support worker to accompany and assist you during weekly sessions at an inclusive local sports club, such as a wheelchair basketball or adaptive swimming group.
Under the NDIS Increased Social and Community Participation capacity-building budget, you can claim for skill-building, training, and mentoring that help you engage more independently in community life. This fund focuses on building your long-term skills, rather than just paying for a support worker to accompany you on an outing.
Community participation is often broken down into four main levels or types based on how much power and control people have. These range from simply being told about a project to leading the decisions yourself.
Community participation means people taking an active part in local life, group decisions, and social activities [12]. It is about people working together to improve their neighborhoods, share skills, and build strong social bonds
